Why trust the Bible?

At the centre of Christianity is this book called the Bible, which Christians refer to as God’s Word. Christians base their beliefs, their values, and their living on what’s written in the Bible, which not only makes it important but controversial for some. Therefore, we understand when people who are not familiar with the Bible question its validity and authority.

With a name like “Focus Bible Church” it stands to reason that we trust the Bible as a trustworthy historic and spiritual book, supported by reliable manuscripts, historical accuracy, and eyewitness testimony.

We believe the Bible was co-authored by God’s Holy Spirit inspiring human writers to accurately record God’s message for humanity. We affirm that “The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever” (Psalm 119:160).
