Focus Bible Church

Was launched on June 28th 2009 in the Welcome Bay School Hall, Tauranga, New Zealand as an independent local church.

We are a smaller multi-cultural gathering of believers in Jesus Christ who weekly participate in God-centered worship and expressions of faith with consecutive expository Bible teaching as the normal teaching format.

Focus Bible Church does not identify merely as churched people, church attenders, or social Christians. We are not trying to influence society by getting unchurched people into church attendance. No, we want to be people who really do grow to know God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and obedience to His Word (Mat 28:19-20; Heb 1:2-3; 1Pe 2:2; 2Pe 3:18).

Focus Bible Church Tauranga

By God’s grace:

  • We exist for God’s glory and for His pleasure (Eph 1:3-14).
  • We give attention to making disciples/followers of the Lord Jesus Christ (Mat 28:19-20).
  • We provide time, space, and support for people to heal from the pains of life. Therefore, we encourage relationships without religious, organisational, or personal demands.
  • We pursue selfless love which enhances unity and loyalty by applying biblical principles.
  • Questions are welcomed and answers are provided.
  • We are a family of diverse Christians, content to be who God has made us in Christ.
  • We are gospel focused people who intentionally share Jesus Christ with others (Rom 10:13-15).
  • We allow for growing in this type of environment to take time, selfless love, and patience under the influence of God’s Word and His Spirit (2Co 3:17-18).
